With a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and a values based approach to business, Lara helps clients realize a very tangible return on investment through employee engagement, community investment and environmental sustainability.

In 2007 Lara successfully completed a joint Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from the Conference Board of Canada and the University of St. Michael's College. She is currently the only person in Atlantic Canada to hold this certification. In 2008, Lara Ryan Consulting announced a joint initiative with Jacques Whitford and Halifax Global to offer full spectrum CSR consulting.

Besides her consulting work, Lara is a partner is an audio-post and sound recording studio called St. Cecilia Studios. Lara lives in Ferguson's Cove with her husband, musician Brett Ryan and their three children.
